>>14979If no one worked, no one would pay taxes, because no one would have an income to pay taxes with, and the result of no income, no work and no taxes would be no government either. How would you fund a government where no one worked, when no one had income to pay for taxes?
Think about that for a second. Governments rely on funding, from workers. You could scream "universal income!" all you want.... but how!? That relies on 1) a government to enforce it and 2) tax revenue for the government to simply exist. But here's the thing: how do they re-distribute an income where there is no income in the first place because no one works?
Many countries have tried this. ALL have failed, miserably. What happens is people take the gravy train (free fiat cash), nothing is produced or built or grown, and then suddenly people are faced with mass shortages and a humanitarian crisis because no one lifted a damn finger.
I really hate to burst your bubble but the world is not - and never will be - a utopia. We can try making it better for workers. We can make things more fair for workers. We can't have a society that doesn't work and somehow expects everything to be handed to them on a silver platter. The point is this: socialists are spoiled brats. They think everyone owes them what they want because their mother gave birth to them. And thats NOT how the world works, and you'll learn that someday, the easy way or the hard way.
